Our Light & Laser Treatments
Each treatment targets something different: color, texture, or damaged cells. Every plan starts with a consultation, and results vary from person to person.
M22 IPL
Intense pulsed light for facial redness, rosacea-related redness, broken capillaries, and brown or sun spots.
ResurFx fractional laser
Non-ablative resurfacing for fine lines, uneven texture, and acne scars, building collagen gradually.
Photodynamic therapy
Blue light treatment for acne and precancerous sun damage such as actinic keratosis.
The Right Tool for Your Skin
The simplest way to think about our light-based lineup is by what’s bothering you:
- Redness, flushing, or visible vessels: M22 IPL targets the small vessels behind facial redness, including rosacea-related redness. Learn more on our rosacea page.
- Brown spots, sun spots, uneven tone: M22 IPL again, this time targeting pigment. For broader discoloration, see hyperpigmentation treatment.
- Fine lines, texture, or acne scars: the ResurFx fractional laser works beneath the surface to build collagen. Acne scarring has its own plan options on our acne scar treatment page.
- Active breakouts: blue light photodynamic therapy targets acne-causing bacteria, and pairs with the broader options on our acne treatment page.
- Rough, scaly patches from sun exposure: photodynamic therapy treats actinic keratosis, and a full-body skin cancer screening is the right first step if it’s been a while.
Many patients have more than one concern, and some plans sequence or combine treatments over time. Your provider will map this out with you in plain language before you commit to anything.
Why Non-Ablative?
Our Jacksonville office focuses on non-ablative and light-based treatments, which work beneath or through the skin’s surface rather than removing it. That means shorter recovery, gradual and natural-looking change, and treatments that fit around real life. It also fits Florida: with year-round sun exposure, gentler treatments and diligent sun protection tend to pair well, and your provider will time sessions around tans and sun plans.
Results vary. A consultation is required to determine candidacy, and treatment plans are individualized.

Common questions
Laser & Light FAQs.
Which treatment is right for me?
As a starting point: color concerns (redness, brown spots) point to M22 IPL, texture concerns (fine lines, acne scars) point to ResurFx, and acne or precancerous sun damage points to photodynamic therapy. The real answer comes from a consultation, where your provider evaluates your skin and goals.
Do you offer CO2 laser resurfacing?
No. Our Jacksonville office does not offer ablative CO2 resurfacing. We focus on non-ablative and light-based treatments: M22 IPL, the ResurFx fractional laser, and photodynamic therapy. For many texture and tone concerns, these can achieve meaningful improvement with far less downtime, and your provider can discuss what’s realistic for your skin.
Is there downtime?
Downtime is minimal for most patients across all three treatments. Mild redness, warmth, or light flaking for a few days is the most common experience. Photodynamic therapy adds one strict rule: no direct sun for at least 48 hours after treatment.
Can I be treated if I have a tan?
Usually not right away. Light-based treatments target pigment, so recent sun exposure or an active tan can change how your skin responds. In Jacksonville that comes up a lot, and your provider may adjust timing, settings, or the treatment choice around it.
How much do laser treatments cost in Jacksonville?
Cost depends on the treatment, the area treated, and the number of sessions in your plan. Cosmetic treatments are typically paid directly; when photodynamic therapy treats a medical condition such as actinic keratosis, insurance may apply. We review pricing at your consultation, and current information is on our pricing page.
