Patient reviews
What Jacksonville patients say.
Skin through the year
Florida sun, all four seasons.
Jacksonville’s climate shapes what we treat. Here’s what we see most, when.
Winter
Florida’s mildest sun makes winter prime time for peels and resurfacing, while cooler, drier air brings eczema and dry skin flares.
Spring
Before beach season peaks, annual full-body skin checks catch what changed. Rising humidity often stirs up acne.
Summer
Jacksonville UV peaks. Suspicious spots, sun damage, and precancerous changes drive our busiest screening months.
Fall
Laser season. As the summer sun eases, IPL and fractional resurfacing can address the brown spots and redness it left behind.
Common questions
Frequently asked.
Do you accept Medicare and private insurance?
Yes. We accept Medicare and most major private insurance plans for medical dermatology services. Cosmetic treatments, including cosmetic mole removal, are typically not covered by insurance and are paid directly. Call us at (904) 420-7372 with specific coverage questions.
How soon can I be seen?
Most new patients are seen within the same week. Some treatments can be started at the first visit; others are scheduled after your consultation.
Who will I see at my appointment?
You will see one of our experienced providers, practicing under the medical direction of Dr. Brandon T. Beal, a double board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist and the practice’s physician-owner.
Do you offer full-body skin cancer screenings?
Yes, and in Florida’s year-round sun we consider them one of the most important visits we offer. A screening is a head-to-toe skin exam that checks moles and spots for concerning changes. If anything needs further evaluation, we will explain the next steps clearly.
Are you affiliated with a hospital system or larger chain?
No. We are independent, physician-owned, and a small business. Treatment decisions are made between you and your provider, not dictated by a corporate parent.
Ready to take care of your skin?
