Firmer hyaluronic acid (HA) formulations provide excellent lift for the cheeks and jawline. HA is a substance found naturally in your skin, and HA filler can be dissolved with an enzyme if a result ever needs adjusting. In the cheeks, HA fillers typically last 12 to 24 months depending on the product and the individual.
Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite)
Calcium hydroxylapatite is a compound found naturally in bone. Radiesse provides firm correction for deeper creases and can enhance fullness in the cheeks and other facial contours. It typically lasts from six to twelve months and cannot be dissolved, which is part of the product-selection conversation at your consultation.
Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid)
Sculptra works differently: rather than adding volume directly, it stimulates your own collagen production for a gradual, natural lift across the midface. It takes several weeks to see the full effect, and results can last up to two years.

Is Cheek Filler Safe? Who Is a Candidate?
All injectable procedures carry some risk: bruising, swelling, under- or over-correction, small nodules, infection, and rarely vascular occlusion, in which filler blocks a blood vessel.
