Cosmetic Dermatology in Jacksonville

Cosmetic dermatology done in a dermatology office starts from a different place than a med spa menu: a medical understanding of your skin, honest expectations, and treatments chosen because they fit, not because they’re trending. From resurfacing and pigment correction to scar treatment, our cosmetic care is provided by our experienced providers under the medical direction of Dr. Brandon T. Beal, a double board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist.

Looking for Something Else?

Much of the most effective cosmetic work we do lives under our laser program: M22 IPL for sun spots and redness, the ResurFx fractional laser for texture and lines, and photodynamic therapy. Explore the full lineup on our laser treatments page. Cosmetic removal of facial moles is handled through non-surgical mole removal, and injectables, including Botox, Dysport, and dermal fillers, are also available: see our Botox and dermal filler pages.

Common questions

Cosmetic Dermatology FAQs.

Why choose a dermatology office over a med spa?

Because cosmetic treatments are medical treatments. A dermatology office brings diagnosis before treatment, tools and settings matched to your actual skin, honest recommendations that sometimes include “you don’t need this,” and a medical team if anything ever needs attention. The result is the same treatment done with more judgment.

How do I know which treatment I need?

You don’t have to; that’s the consultation’s job. Bring the concern, not the solution: “these spots,” “this texture,” “this scar.” Your provider will map it to the right tool, whether that’s a peel, a laser, injections, or a plan that combines them, and tell you honestly what each can deliver.

Are cosmetic treatments covered by insurance?

Cosmetic treatments are typically paid directly rather than billed to insurance. Where a concern has a medical side, evaluating a changing spot, treating a painful scar, we’re upfront about which part is which. Current information is on our pricing page.

Do results happen in one visit?

Sometimes, but most quality cosmetic results build over a series: peels in rounds, laser sessions spaced weeks apart, pigment fading over months. We’d rather tell you the honest timeline up front than sell you a miracle. Results vary by individual, and your plan will spell out what to expect.
