Seborrheic keratosis is a very common noncancerous skin growth. While it is harmless and doesn’t need treatment, you may decide to have it removed.
As many as 90% of adults over 60 have one or more of them. While they are harmless and don’t need treatment, you may have them removed if they become irritated by your clothing or don’t like how they look.

This was my first visit for a facial skin consultation, and I’m still in the middle of my treatment plan. However, my first impression was excellent. The doctor was very caring, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The staff was also friendly and welcoming.
One thing that really stood out to me was that they did not try to pressure me into buying products. Many places focus on selling as many products as possible, but here the doctor only recommended what was truly necessary. They even explained where and how I could purchase certain products at a better price, which honestly impressed me.
I truly appreciate their honesty and professionalism. I’m hopeful that my treatment will have great results, and I’m already planning to bring my younger sister here for treatment as well.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for leaving us a stellar review!
THE DOCTOR IS EXCELLENT! I'M VERY COMFORTABLE WITH HIM AND HE'S VERY GOOD AT DETAILS AND CHECKING YOU OVER. ALSO THE OFFICE PEOPLE ARE REALLY VERY HELPFUL AND POSITIVE!
Response from the owner:Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!
I went in two separate times for two different concerns and each time Michelle made me feel heard. She took the time to listen to my concerns and allowed me to explain what’s been going on with my skin and what i’ve been doing with my home skincare. She seemed to really take pride in patient care. I will definitely continue to go to her! The only downside is the reception area doesn’t come off friendly.
Response from the owner:We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

What Is Sborrheic keratoses?
Seborrheic keratoses are common, non-cancerous skin growths that tend to occur as people age. They can be brown or black and have a warty appearance. They are typically found on the chest, scalp, shoulders, back, abdomen, and face.
What Causes Seborrheic Keratoses?
It is not entirely clear what causes seborrheic keratoses. However, normal skin aging and too much sun exposure do play a role. Seborrheic keratoses also tend to run in families, so genes may be a cause. They are not contagious, so you cannot get them from others or spread them to someone else.
Treatment Options for Seborrheic Keratosis?
In almost all cases, seborrheic keratosis doesn’t need treatment. However, many people opt to have them removed because they find them irritating or dislike the way they look. An exam by a dermatologist is frequently all that is needed.
The treatment options for seborrheic keratosis include:
Minor surgery to remove the growth (curettement)
Shave biopsy
Chemical peel
Before any procedure, you will have a consultation with our expert cosmetic dermatologists. The physician will listen to you, perform a thorough evaluation, and provide an individualized treatment plan to address your needs and concerns.
